Dr. Brumby McLeod is our newest faculty member in the Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management in the School of Business at the College of Charleston.  He joins us most recently from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.  His area of teaching and research focuses on the commercial lodging sector.  He worked for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Las Vegas for four years and earned his Ph. D from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).  He will be teaching Hotel & Resort Management, Service Operations Management, Advanced Guest Services, and Operations Analysis for our department.  At the operational level, his current research interests include hotel reservation systems as they relate to cancellation policies, advance deposits, confirmations, revenue management, and online travel agencies.  In regard to tourism, his research explores lodging inventory, second homes, accommodation tax policy, accommodation taxes and hotel market analysis.  His dissertation at UNLV examined the impact of second-home owners on the promotion of a destination.  Brumby is joined by his wife Jamye and their three kids:  Abigail (6), Madeline (3), and Weldon (2).
