A U.S. Department of Education Title VIB grant enables the Global Business Resource Center in the School of Business to be the first test site in the Carolinas and to offer test preparation training courses. The NASBITE CGBP, a vital addition to global trade education, is the first nationally-accepted, international trade credentialing program.
With support from the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Education, NASBITE International developed the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credentialing program. The CGBP credential sets the benchmark for global trade knowledge, and CGBP certification shows that an individual has the knowledge required to be a successful global commerce professional.
The training program offered through the Global Business Resource Center covers the four core knowledge areas tested in the national exam: global business management, global marketing, global supply chain management, and international trade finance.
The next training sessions will be held on campus in Beatty Center Rm 220, 5 Liberty St., Charleston, SC, on March 15th and March 16th, 2013 at 8 AM - 5 PM. The sessions are held just prior to the national exam window from April 29th - May 11, 2013 window. The comprehensive, two-day CGBP training program costs $395. The cost for each half-day session is $125.
Register online for a May testing date and time by April 5th, 2013. Costs associated with registering to take the exam are separate from the College of Charleston training costs above.
Members of Global Business Resource Center's partner organizations and College of Charleston alumni can attend the training at the reduced rate of $295 for all four sessions, or $75 per half-day session.
