Business administration opens the door to a variety of possibilities for students. If you want to broaden your options and consider a wide range of business career paths, a degree in business administration may be your best bet.
The business administration major gives you the flexibility to specialize in several concentrations to strengthen your business perspective and prepare you for small business ownership, healthcare management, market research, commercial real estate, analysis and investment, manufacturing, human resources and information technology, to name a few. See the list of concentrations available for business administration majors.
Some of our graduates are marketing directors, sales managers, real estate developers and analysts, financial analysts, account executives and loan officers. Others run small businesses or have launched their own enterprises.
Take advantage of the array of extracurricular activities and workshops to enrich your learning experience and extend your leadership and entrepreneurial skills. If you choose to concentrate in Leadership, Change and Social Responsibility, the Higdon Student Leadership Center affords students many opportunities to develop responsible leadership awareness and skills on campus and in the community. Another avenue to explore is the Carter Real Estate Center which gives students extensive, out-of-the-classroom learning experiences for those interested in careers in the commercial real estate industry.
